Our friends over at Headliners have launched a Community Leaders Programme for young women and non-binary people age 16-25, not in employment, education or training and interested in journalism and creative digital media. This is a chance to learn the tools to run creative projects and make a change in your community. Participants will receive industry insight, mentoring, support in next career steps and more.
The programme is open to residents of Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Tower Hamlets and runs for 12 weeks over June – August 2022. Travel expenses and lunch will be covered.

Are you a writer? Are you 16-30? Do you identify as a person of colour? Purple Moon Drama are handing the mic over to young people for a Black History Month Scratch Night at Poplar Union. They’re looking for 10 minute long original writing – can be scenes, poems, monologues or duologues.

London Screen Academy (LSA) is hosting its first in-person Open Event on Tues 28 September 6-8pm! This Sixth form academy in Islington set up by industry for young people interested in film and TV and provides training young in behind-the-camera skills and providing access to real world practise.
The open day is a chance to speak to students and teachers, tour the facilities and see student work.

Dance company Boy Blue has an exciting opportunity for dancers aged 14+ to participate in a mass dance piece on Sun 24 October in collaboration with Good Chance Theatre as part of The Walk – a travelling festival of art and hope in support of refugees. At the heart of the travelling festival is ‘Little Amal’, a 3.5 metre-tall puppet of a young refugee girl representing all displaced children travelling from Turkey to the UK.
Boy Blue will be celebrating Amal’s 10th birthday on Sunday 24 October 2021 with a performance.
